through phone and now we use the internet phone as a cheaper contact method. We
send you versions of the programs being worked on, usually every two weeks, or
more often, if you require.
We have time sheet reporting system on the internet where all the programmers
enter their time for projects. You can access http://projects.arobs.ro based on a user
name and password.
How large is our company now (number of people, per year US$ revenue)?
We are a team of 25 full time programmers with an IT background (Bachelor of
Science, Master Degrees or even some involved in PhD). We usually hire our people
after they graduate, from all of the three Computer Science Universities in Cluj-
Napoca, the biggest university center in Transilvania. We also have on testing 3or 4
programmers in our company as part timers. As for the revenue, we are certainly not
a million dollars company. We can discuss the details as we proceed.
Is it possible for us to develop only a single piece or modules of the application?
Which kind of specs do we need to start work?
Most definitely YES, it is possible. In general we would need enough specifications
so that we are able to know unambiguously what we are required to do.
These specs will also become part of our contract so that we can refer to them to
determine what our contractual obligations to you are. We realize that this is easier
said than done. If you already have specs defined for the work, these makes the
process very easy. Just send them to us and we will ask you for details if needed.
Then we will be able to enter into a contract based on these specs. As the project
progresses, we are fully prepared to make alterations to the specs within
"reasonable" limits. If the specs do not exist yet, the situation could become quite
complicated.. That means that you will have to hire us to prepare the specs for you.
This will require face to face meetings which can be achieved by either you visiting
us or one of our experts visiting you.
Could ARoBS provide people working at your site? Or would it be possible for
you to visit our site for some days? What would this cost?
Yes, we can. Our normal charges are per day plus accommodation plus airfare
which can be discussed later on. Depending on the circumstances and the duration
of stay, these can be negotiated. We are not required visa for the Schengen countries
any more and we are allowed to work no more than 180 days in a year in the
European Community and in the US without specific working permits.
Do we have a QM-System or how do we guarantee for the quality of the written
code?
We have strict internal guidelines that all our programmers have to follow. For
