closes its 2003
football season,
Thursday, Nov. 27,
when the Bulldogs
play host to in-state,
arch-rival Mississippi
at Davis Wade
Stadium at Scott
Field. The game will
be televised nationally by ESPN and will kick off at 6:45 p.m. CT.
MSU-MISSISSIPPI MEET FOR THE 100TH TIME
When Mississippi State plays Mississippi on Thanksgiving night, it
will be the 100th battle in the in-state series. The MSU-UM series is tied
for the 16th-longest in the country, the second-longest in the
Southeastern Conference.
THE TWO TEAMS PLAY ON THANKSGIVING AGAIN
The Battle for the Golden Egg will be played on Thanksgiving for the
25th time in the century-long series. This season's contest is the sixth
straight since the rivalry was moved back to Turkey Day for an ESPN
national telecast in 1998. MSU has won three of the previous five games
during that stretch.
