14. Use tools to improve search engine placement. There are services that promise to
elevate you into the top 10 rankings. You have read the issues of search engines earlier. It
might work but it is a gamble since the search engines could construe some of the tactics
utilized by these services as "spamming" and your site could get penalized.
15. Request visitors to bookmark your site. This is easily done and now the visitor to your
web site and a easy way to come back.
16. Bridge pages are separate web pages that are specifically created for a key word or a
key word phrase and then optimized for a particular search engine. These pages then link
back to your web site. They are also known as portal pages, doorway page or jump
pages and could be the best solution to rank well for a specific keyword.
To make a bridge page decide on the exact key word(s) or key word phrase(s) you desire
to target. Ideally you should have one doorway page for each keyword. But that means you
need an individual URL for each. But keep the number of keywords below 7 if you only
have one bridge page.
The bridge page should make sense to the viewer otherwise they will hit the "back" button.

The idea is that it should be plain. The usual items for the basic web page should appear.

Place the doorway page on someone else's server. They will have a different address
(URL) but will perform the same in garnering extra visitors. It is also more search engine
friendly since if you have it on the same server as your main web page, the internet
address looks similar and the search engine might exclude it.
