6. Geographic Information Systems - These programs can be useful in displaying in layers
information about a particular locality such as streets, utility lines, boundaries, developed
areas etc. However, the wave of the future will be in holographic information systems. A
technical discussion of the differences between the two systems is beyond the scope of this
forecast.
