T he Richlink application is redesigned as a thin client application, which uses XML as
a defacto standard for exchanging the database across the various applications. T he
Java / XML conversion com bined with Oracle greatly im proved the database
interchange flexibility, getting the m ost from it database objects. For exam ple now all
the client specified annotations are filled in Oracle using the XML tem plates their XML
tags correspond to Java program m ing language class nam es, their XML attribute lists
correspond to object attributes, and their XML elem ent lists correspond to list of
objects and m em bers of objects.
Investoo ls
SDEI designed and im plem ented a transaction web server. W e also im plem ented the
purchase transactions using cgi and Sybase database server.
SDEI also created a m utual fund application over on the web. It was a web based
stock inform ation application to assist the investor and to analyze the m ark et. T he
investor analyses the inform ation fetched by the end user and based on those results
the investor can better judge where to invest his m oney. He can search based on
different criteria and can m ine the inform ation that he needs. All the business logic
was put in the Stored Procedures. It was optim ized using W CAT for perform ance.
