Change Management
If project is m anaged well, it is expected to m ove within budget. At the sam e tim e,
good project m anagem ent ensures understanding any spik es in budget well ­in-
advance. During the week ly project m eeting if agreed deliverable are not m et, the
client is told of the problem s before hand. At the sam e tim e, if the identified problem s
are due to m iscom m unications at SDEI's end, we will expense our resources to put the
project back on track at no cost to the client. T he other issue that m ight delay the
project could be changes during the developm ent life cycle of a project are inevitable.
Unless they are controlled with som e degree of discipline and correctly m anaged, they
can provide detrim ental to the project's progress and its ultim ate success. T he
objective of the Change Managem ent and its associated procedures are not to
suppress change or to freeze specifications, but rather to provide the opportunity to
assess the im pact of a recom m ended change and to m ak e inform ed decision in light of
costs and benefits. T he sum m ary of the Change Control procedure is
(a) Raise a Change Request
(b) Analyze and evaluate the Change request for im pact on effort, schedule,
change in other related item s and cost
(c) Approve/Reject the Change Request
(d) Authorize im plem entation of the approved Request
(e) Plan and im plem ent Change
(f) Review/test and approve the change m ade
(g) Release Changed item
(h) Reconfigure the changed item
(i) Close Change Request
Roles and Responsibilities
If a project requires 500 hours of work to be done in a m onth, we will create a team of
3+Project Lead work ing on this project for a m onth. T he team of 3 full-tim e software
engineers will be at your disposal 24x7 on offsite locations.
T he Project Lead is responsible for the successful operations of the offshore
developm ent center in term s of delivery and quality. T his person
(a) Monitors perform ance against Service Level Agreem ents
(b) Ensures m anpower stability
(c) Monitors execution of work m odules
