Factors that influence the project segm entation are nature of the work , the

center, and the m aturity of processes in the offshore developm ent center.
For each project, there are systematic processes for project track ing and project
review. Each of these reviews covers a particular aspect of the project such as risk
m anagem ent, software quality assurance, and project progress, inter group
dependencies, product and process m etrics, progress against project baselines and
status of configuration m anagem ent. A progress report for each w ork module is
produced regularly against metrics defined for the pack . T his ensures that any
processes gaps or com m unication problem s are m anaged im m ediately and
appropriately. T he statement of w ork also defines milestones, each w ith a planned
completion date. T his enables project m onitoring based on the m ilestones and also
helps to identify issues and address them at an early stage.
Reviews and m eeting with the client play an im portant role in the successful
