Mrs. Bluezette is Mona Scott, a longtime
television news anchor/reporter. Her daily
column on the finer points of broadcast
writing, "Mrs. B's Grammar Corner," appears
regularly on NewsBlues.com, a popular
website for TV news insiders.
A multiple Emmy winner, Mona was the
primary anchor at Cleveland's WKYC and
WCMH in Columbus. She also anchored at
Columbus powerhouse WBNS-TV and at
Orlando's WKMG.
Mona taught high school English after
graduating summa cum laude from Bethany
College. She comes from a family of teachers.

grandmother. Mona's daughter, Laura,
teaches high school English; and her son,
David, was a tutor for the SAT with The
Princeton Review.
After 24 years in broadcasting, Mona now lives
on a farm near Ocala, Florida, where she dotes
on a Paso Fino horse, a golden retriever, a
fancy cat, and a barn kitty. In her spare
time she volunteers at a therapeutic
riding center, working with Special
Olympics kids.
