A Charlotte anchor/reporter gets us going today.
Part of his e-mail to Mrs. B got her juices flowing:
"Now what do we do with HIGH ranking politicians who say
'physical' when they mean `fiscal'?
Argghh.
I heard a CBS reporter refer to the navy EP-3 spy plane as being
on a `recognizance' mission instead of a `reconnaissance'
mission. Maybe that's why the military just says `re-con.'"

Let's be sure we understand the definitions of the words in question:
"Fiscal" relates to government expenditures, revenues, and debt or to
financial matters in general.

The senator expressed disappointment in the lack of FISCAL
responsibility.
"Recognizance" is an obligation made before a court to make an
appearance.
v
Tidewater was released on his own RECOGNIZANCE.
"Reconnaissance" is the inspection of an area to gather military
information.
