?
Salomon is primarily an institutional firm. We work with
governments; financial institutions: banks, thrifts, insur-
ance companies; in addition to money managers, corpora-
tions and pension funds.
HOW ARE TRADERS AND SALESPEOPLE
COMPENSATED
?
Compensation at Salomon consists of base salary and,
dependent upon performance, a bonus at year end. Bonuses
are not commissions. We are more interested in how an
individual's performance adds value for the Firm's clients and
for our shareholders. Managers consider such subjective
