ADDITIONAL PRE-RIDE CHECKS
The back cover of your Cannondale Bicycle Owner's Manual (your main manual for
bicycles) includes a "Pre-Ride Checklist." In addition to that Pre-Ride Checklist , you
should do the following:
1. Check the condition of the right chainstay protector. It is a protection against
"chain slap." Install a new one if it is worn or missing.
2. Carefully inspect the cable and line routing paths on your bike. Cables and
lines touching the frame or swingarm can rub or wear into the finish at certain
points. Prolonged contact can result in damage. If you find signs of rubbing,
consider installing adhesive frame guards. The adhesive guards are available
through your Cannondale Dealer. See below right.

3. Perform a careful inspection of the entire braking system (e.g., lines, fluid leaks,
pads, discs, calipers, routing). Make sure the front and rear brake systems
function properly. Make sure the brake link arm mounting bolts are tightened
to the specified torque.
WARNING
A PRE- RIDE INSPECTION OF YOUR BIKE IS IMPORTANT TO YOUR SAFETY.
