To reinstall the pivot bolt assembly:
See Figure 6.
1. Clean and lubricate the outer surface pivot axle and inside of the frame pivot
bore with a high-quality bike grease.
2. Align the swingarm bearings with the frame pivot bore. Position the spacers
between the swingarm and seat tube.
3. Insert the pivot axle into the drive-side of the swingarm through the frame.
CAUTION:
HEAD (a) OF PIVOT IS ON DRIVE SIDE TO MAINTAIN CLEARANCE WITH CHAIN
RINGS. Reversed installation can cause severe damage.
4. Install the bearing shield (3) with the small end (c) facing toward the pivot bolt.
5. Apply Loctite #242 to the threads and tighten the fixing bolt (2)
to 12 N·m (44 In·Lbs).
