SUPPLEMENTAL PRE-RIDE INSPECTION POINTS
In addition to the Pre-Ride Checklist found in the Cannondale Bicycle Owner's Manual (Section B.), please do the following
before every ride:
1. Make sure the chainstay protector located on the under side of the right swingarm chainstay is in good condition. See
Fig 1. item (1). The protector prevent chain contact with the swingarm. If it is missing, the moving chain can wear the
swingarm. Prolonged contact can result in severe damage. Have it replaced by your Cannondale Dealer when if it is
missing or shows excessive wear from contact with the chain.
2. Carefully inspect the various cable and line routing paths on your bike. Cables and lines touching the frame or
swingarm can rub or wear into the finish at certain points. Prolonged contact can result in damage. If you find signs of
rubbing, consider installing adhesive frame guards. The guards are available through your Cannondale Dealer. See
Fig 2.
3. Perform a careful inspection of the entire braking system (e.g., lines, fluid leaks, pads, discs, calipers, routing). Make
sure the front and rear brake systems function properly. Make sure the brake link arm mounting bolts are tightened to
the specified torque.
