This manual explains how to use a child carrier safely, and
how to maintain the child carrier to keep it operating safely.
Every person, prior to using this child carrier, should read at
least Chapter 1 of this manual.
Even if you have used a child carrier for years, it is
important for EVERY person to read this manual
before using this child carrier!
Chapter 1
covers important information concerning safety
and child carrier care. This information will
help you and the Trek child carrier avoid injury
and damage.
Chapter 2
covers important information concerning safety
and use of a child carrier in bicycle trailer
mode, including attachment to the lead bicycle.
Chapter 3
provides information about periodic maintenance
for the Trek child carrier with the intervals
for upkeep of specific parts of the child carrier
under normal conditions of use.
Chapter 4
gives basic instructions for inspection,
lubrication, and adjustment of the individual
components on the Trek child carrier, folding
the child carrier, conversion to other use modes
including stroller, jogger, and bicycle trailer
(not all child carriers are designed or equipped
for a conversion).
Make sure you read the information specifically for the
model of child carrier you own and the general information
for all types of child carriers. If you convert the child carrier
to another mode, also read the instructions for that use.
This manual may contain some information which does not
apply to your child carrier. Some illustrations may vary from
actual child carriers as delivered. For the Owner's Manual for
