Jigsaw Puzzles
THE ARTIST
While still a
student at MIT's
media lab,
Robert Silvers
created a new
technology that
changed the
nature of art,
photography,
and computer graphics. This
development, called
Photomosaics
TM
, is a method
of arranging thousands of
tiny photographs that when
viewed from a distance,
combine to form a single
larger image.
So unique is this technology
that he was commissioned to
do portraits for Al Gore and
Bill Gates, and to design the
cover of Life Magazine's 60th
anniversary issue. His work
has also become the focus of
national media attention in
USA Today, the New York
Times and Fortune Magazine.
