SPRING 2002
Norman Rockwell -
Puzzles for the American People
Norman Rockwell, America's best known artist, is now part of our
Signature
1000
collection. We are extremely honored to present Rockwell's most famous works,
taken from covers of the Saturday Evening Post. These timeless images are essential for
the puzzle consumer, and fantastic gifts for everyone else.
Buffalo Games launched this series in February at a special event at the
Guggenheim Museum in New York, where a fantastic Norman Rockwell exhibit is
currently on display.
With countless
original masterpieces, this travelling exhibit
marks the first time Rockwell's paintings have
toured the country since 1978.
We are also offering a unique 3 foot
wide panoramic puzzle featuring Rockwell's
paintings of the
Four Freedoms
. Originally
done to inspire Americans in the 1940's, these
images are especially timely today. Speaking
of today, every puzzle in the Rockwell
collection is shipping now!
When ordering, be sure to pick a half cut of
The Runaway
or
Bottom of the Sixth
-
these full sized, assembled puzzles are almost works of art themselves, and really spur sales.

Enter the
Magical World
of Disney!
Digital artist Rob Silvers has done
it again, this time creating
Photomosaics of Disney's most
famous characters. In a word,
wow! Each image is actually
composed of thousands of
individual screen shots from
Disney's own movie library. We
are initially offering 4 titles in this
1000 piece puzzle series.
In Mickey Mouse, there are
movie frames from Dumbo, Lady
and the Tramp, and 101
Dalmatians, just to name a few.
Both Winnie and Tigger are
composed entirely of frames from
the classic Winnie the Pooh
shorts, while Snow White is made
completely from scenes from
Snow White and the Seven
Dwarves.
Half cuts are available for Mickey
and Winnie, and both make truly
fantastic POP displays.

Puzzle Sales on the Rise
In the wake of all that has happened the past year, families and friends are
spending significantly more time together. This `cocooning' effect is having a tremendous
impact on the demand for puzzles and games. We started to see wild increases in sales last
Fall, and it has done nothing but grow in 2002. Puzzles provide a quality, hands-on leisure
activity that makes people feel good, and should make you feel good about selling them.
Future Sales from a Past Era
In response to the immense popularity of our Vintage European Poster series, we
are proud to add Vintage USA puzzles to our Signature 1000 series. There are four
famous vintage American prints available.
Rosie the Riveter
and
Uncle Sam
are 1940's
prints featuring two classic American icons.
Equally colorful are old time travel images of
Waikiki
and
San Francisco
.
We worked hard to find the highest resolution
images possible, ensuring that the final puzzles will
have that premium look consumers have come to
expect from Buffalo Games. As with all puzzles in
the Signature 1000 series, these are printed on select
linen paper, are cut from extra-thick, dust-free board,
and come with an unconditional product warranty.
