Over 25 KingQuads welcomed the media when
they entered the Mike Rodden hockey arena in
Mattawa. At the arena, participants were
provided with an explanation on market trends
and a technical presentation on the various
features of the new LT-A700X. The presentation
also featured a Q&A session with Suzuki factory
engineers from Japan.
Since the Mattawa region had recently legalized driving ATVs on public roads, the
KingQuads were driven right out of the arena, through the streets of Mattawa (where
an abundance of banners welcomed Suzuki guests all throughout the town), and right
to the fabulous VMUTS trail system. Apart from a brief lunch break at a cottage
overlooking scenic Kearney Lake, journalists spent their time putting the KingQuad
units to the ultimate test through the challenging terrain of the trail system.
Boulders, rocks, sand, water, marshes, mud, steep grades and more mud, for almost
six hours journalists tested the metal of the new KingQuad on the trails. The results
were unanimous: The King is back!
As the journalists made their way back to the
arena, the Papineau-Cameron Volunteer Fire
Department offered their services, hosing down
each unit (and a few journalists) as each
participant returned to the arena. In
recognition of their efforts, Suzuki Canada
gratefully contributed $1,000 to the Fire
Department.
The KingQuad launch was not just for
journalists as American Suzuki and Suzuki
Canada each brought their top 20 ATV dealers
from across North America to North Bay for
the opportunity to test the new King. In
addition to the events planned, dealers were
treated to a welcome dinner abroad the Chief
Commanada II in North Bay, which included a
Sunset cruise along Callander Bay. While on
the trails the following day, dealers didn't
seem to mind the downpour of rain as it made the mud riding even more challenging,
but all the more interesting.
