back from a poor start that saw him in 11
th
place after the first lap. Riding hard
for the full 30-minute moto, Dorsch caught and passed several of the front-
runners in his pursuit of the lead pack showing impressive speed. After
dispatching top riders Marco Dube, Doug Dehaan and Darcy Lange, Dorsch
hunted down and passed Honda mounted Damon Huffman to take a very
impressive 4
th
in moto #1. Coors Light Racing Suzuki rider and reining National
125 East Champion Derrick Fisher suffered a rear hub failure leaving him with a
disappointing 26
th
in race #1.
Moto #2 had Dorsch get off to a much better start setting in to 5
th
on the first
lap. Charging hard Marco passed both Damon Huffman and Blair Morgan to take
third place on the 4
th
lap. Unfortunately, The Coors Light Racing rider landed
awkwardly off one of the large doubles, injuring his hand and forcing him to back
off on the pace due to the pain. Despite the hand injury, Dorsch was able to
continue on and finish the moto in 6
th
place and a fifth overall for the event.
Dorsch's teammate Fisher rode a tough second moto and improved over the first
moto finishing in 16
th
.
Richmond Suzuki mounted Evan Laughridge, also competing in the 250 National
series put in a strong performance in the premier class taking a 9
