(3) Instrument Cluster
The new GSX-R1000 has a newly designed instrument cluster.
The instrument cluster combines a stepping-motor tachometer with a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)
speedometer and odometer and LED (Light Emitting Diode) indicator lights.
The white-faced analog tachometer is driven by a compact stepping motor which responds quickly
and is very vibration-resistant.
The upper part of the LCD display indicates speed, while the lower part includes odometer, dual
tripmeters and a clock. The LCD also displays water temperature.
LEDs are used for turn signal indicator, high-beam indicator, neutral indicator and fuel level
indicator lights which are located at the right end of the tach panel. Another LED, indicating the FI
warning, water temperature warning and oil pressure warning, is located at the right end of LCD
area.
