(1) Vertically Stacked Headlights
The new GSX-R1000 has vertically stacked dual multi-reflector headlights.
The new vertically stacked headlights are 80 grams lighter than the headlights on the 2002 GSX-
R1000.
For all markets, a 55-watt H7 halogen low-beam bulb is used in the upper headlight, and remains
lit when high beam is selected.
For the North American market, a 60/55-watt H4 halogen high/low-beam bulb is used in the lower
headlight, and both the upper and the lower bulbs are lit whether high beam or low beam is
selected.
European markets use a 60-watt H4 high-beam bulb in the lower headlight, along with a position
bulb located at the bottom of the headlight lens; when low beam is selected, the upper bulb and
the position lamp are lit; when high beam is selected, the upper and lower bulbs and the position
lamp are all lit.
