1) Own The Racetrack, Continued
Just two years ago, Suzuki issued an invitation.
It came in the form of three simple words: Own The Racetrack.
But unlike the approach taken by the would-be competition, this was not a case of marketing
hype, a theoretical hope, or a bit of creative writing.
The phrase Own The Racetrack referred to the new top of the legendary GSX-R line, the Suzuki
GSX-R1000, and was a prediction of true performance.
Performance that almost immediately saw the GSX-R1000--like the GSX-R750 and the GSX-
R600 before it--take over racing grids around the world, in many cases driving away would-be
competitors and turning entire racing series into virtual Suzuki Cups.
Performance that led to numerous major international and national championships. Performance
that redefined expectations, and rewrote the record books. Performance that truly saw the GSX-
R1000 Own The Racetrack.
Now, Suzuki engineers have done it again. Updating the GSX-R1000 with more power, less
weight, an all-new frame, and an exciting, aggressive new aerodynamic look.
Making it obvious that Suzuki never sleeps.
The result is the 2003 GSX-R1000, the latest, best example of Genuine Suzuki Engineering.
And if anyone thought the phrase Own The Racetrack was too ambitious, keep on watching.
This is just the beginning, and the new GSX-R1000 is leading the entire GSX-R line
toward...Total World Domination.
