(4) Injection Map
Injection volume is calculated based on engine rpm, intake air pressure, and throttle opening
degrees.
When the engine is running under a light load, fuel injection volume is determined based on intake
air pressure and engine rpm. Four maps are used for this calculation, one for each cylinder.
When the engine is running under a heavy load, fuel injection volume is determined using the
throttle opening in degrees and engine rpm. Four maps are used for this calculation, one for each
cylinder.
A total of eight fuel injection maps are housed in the ROM.
