Following the LT-Z250 QuadSport, Suzuki
Dealers were introduced to a new market
opportunity with the Burgman 650. Featuring
state-of-the-art technology, the Burgman 650
is a "step-thru" motorcycle with numerous
luxury appointments. The Burgman series is
very popular in Europe and Canadian dealers
were positive about the sales potential for this
model in Canada.
Further strengthening Suzuki's position as the Sportbike leader, the introduction
of the new SV1000S and the completely restyled SV650S were well received.
Aggressive new styling, new aluminum-alloy truss frame and fuel injection are
just some of the features enjoyed on both models of SV.

In its inaugural year, the GSX-R1000
rapidly gained notoriety after securing
numerous championships and
countless victories around the world.
The other manufacturers came up with
"new & improved" models for 2002 but
to no avail. The GSX-R1000 remained
undisputed king in the magazine
comparisons and on the racetrack. In
Canada, Suzuki "Owned the
Racetrack" with three #1 plates, two of
them from riders on GSX-R1000s. For
2003 Suzuki has raised the bar even
higher with the all-new GSX-R1000. New frame, lighter more powerful brakes,
increased engine efficiency and restyled bodywork for improved aerodynamics
are just some of the features to be found on the new GSX-R.
