tered in doing the work. I have also
learned much from conversations
with our longtime family friends, the
late Jake and Ruth Epstein. But I
would very much appreciate any
other personal recollections. Please

Thanks.

Dear Volunteer,
Hi, my name is Kaitlin Ingalls.
My grandfather, Robert (Bob) Zane
Ingalls, fought in the Spanish Civil
War, and for a history day project
I'm doing a paper on the Spanish
Civil War. I was wondering if you
could sent me some pictures or relat-
ed articles.
Thank you,
Kaitlin (Kat) Ingalls

Dear Volunteer,
My name is Petros Michailides
and I'm looking for any available
information regarding my great-uncle
Panagiotes (Panos) Michailides, who
was a Greek-American volunteer dur-
ing the Spanish Civil War. Photos and
more info about him are available at:
www.geocities.com/regardingpm
Panagiotes (Panos) Michailides
served with the Abraham Lincoln
Brigade and was responsible for the
Mail Service of the Greek-American
volunteers. He was also a correspon-
dent of the New York -American
newspaper "Empros" ("Forward").
I'm trying to find out as much as
possible regarding his service and
action with the ALB. Does anyone
know anything about him? Could you
please help me establish contact with
any survivors who may still remem-
ber him?
I'm particularly interested in get-
ting in touch with Protagoras Petros
and Pagkalos Thodoros (if they are
still alive). Do you know if the New
York Greek-American Association
"Spartacus" and the newspaper
"Empros" ("Forward") still exist? Do
they maybe have online archives or
someone to get in contact with? I
would greatly appreciate any help
and information you could provide.
Sincerely,
P. Michailides (Athens, Greece)

Dear Volunteer,
My father, Seymour Waldman,
was in Spain -- as a reporter, not a
combatant. He never spoke about his
experiences there, although they obvi-
ously served as a defining moment in
his life. I would love to speak to any
survivors of that period who met or
knew my father. How can I put the
word out? Many thanks for any help.
