PINKY RODMAN-20 Years of age.
Tall, thin, kindly Pinky: "Some day
children will not be killed by bombs
for the sake of profits." He loved
children, and gave his life in Spain,
October I, 1937.
WILFRED MENDELSON-21 years of
age. Brilliant, studious, loveable "Mendy".
Soon after arriving in Spain, he was made
a Base Commissar; but he gave up this
post and made his way to the front lines.
When the world becomes a better place to
live in-it will be so only because of the
heroic sacrifices of the Pinkys, Abbys, and
the Mendys.
ABBY BARSKY-21 years of age. "I vow
never to return until fascism in Spain is
crushed" he wrote in a letter to a friend.
Some day the Spanish people will know
the democracy that Abby gave his life for
on the Ebro.
