Auxiliary of the N.Y. Post of the
Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade
Are you a member of the Lincoln Veterans Auxiliary? You who are related to or are close
in friendship to any of the boys who saw service in the Spanish Loyalist army must of
necessity be interested in the recently organized auxiliary, established for the betterment
of those veterans who are in need of aid.
That the conflict in Spain is over, that the American survivors have returned home, does
not spell "finis" to the situation for us. Some of those boys suffer permanent disabilities,
some are ill and depressed and in need of employment.
We suffered anguish and anxiety for them when they were in the fight. Our concern
should be no less now. Those who were fortunate enough to return need us and we can
best applaud their bravery and their principles by reaching out a friendly hand.
Perhaps your own dear boy failed to return. Your interest in our cause should not wane
because of this. Some other mother's son needs your help.
The Auxiliary was created especially for you through which to express your loyalty to the
veterans. With your aid we hope to keep going this task of rehabilitation, hospitalization,
etc. Let's give our normal support, if nothing else. Your membership is vital. JOIN
