The Aerio and XL-7 Receive Highest
Rating in Recent Independent Crash Test
Safety is always a top priority at Suzuki. That's why we're proud to report the
results of a recent Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) 40-mph Frontal
Offset Crash Test. The Suzuki Aerio SX and sedan and Suzuki XL-7 all earned the
highest overall rating. That's right, these Suzuki
vehicles received an overall rating of "Good," which
equals or beats the ratings of competing vehicles that
cost hundreds, even thousands more. Indeed, the
Aerio ranked higher in crashworthiness than the
Volvo S40, Volkswagen Jetta, Ford Focus, and Nissan
Sentra, just to name a few. Meanwhile, the XL-7
received the same overall rating as the BMW X5 and
Mercedes M Class, even though these vehicles cost
nearly $10,000 more. And in even more good news,
the IIHS named the Aerio a "Best Pick" in the small
