Q-Why do you call yourselves "Free Speech" when
you obviously don't show all views and opinions?
A-We are "Free Speech TV" because we
provide an outlet for those who have,
historically, had no voice in the media
landscape. Because we are supported by
our viewers and a handful of foundations, we don't answer to advertisers
or the government for support. Free Speech TV is free to air indepen-
dently produced news and documentaries giving viewers a greater wealth
of information to consider as responsible Americans and global citizens.
Q-My sister doesn't have DISH Network. How can she watch Free
Speech TV?
A-About 170 cable access stations nationwide carry a portion of Free
Speech TV programming on their schedule. Please go to http://www.
freespeech.org/html/affiliates_list.html for the complete listing. If your
sister has high speed Internet access she can also watch many of our
programs via the Web (http://freespeech.org/, http://www.libertynewstv.
com/, http://democracynow.org/, http://www.innworldreport.net/). You
also might mention to your sister that DISH Network is available across
the country and has packages that are cheaper than a lot of cable systems.
She can even buy her DISH package from Free Speech TV at http://dish.
freespeech.org.
Q-I can't figure out what I want to watch during the pledge drive because
the on air program guide reads "Best of Free Speech TV" for the duration.
How is anyone supposed to know when they might like to watch Free
Speech TV?
A-We change the programming around daily during the pledge drives as
we learn which programs garner support. The staff is working on a way to
keep the online schedule (www.freespeech.org/schedule/) accurate even as
changes are made.
