Abstract Submission Deadline is May 15, 2006
The Wilderness Medical Society is pleased to announce the
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
for the
2006 Wilderness Medicine Conference and Annual Meeting, July 22 July 26, 2006 in
Snowmass, Colorado.
Abstract sessions will focus on recent research covering the entire spectrum of
Wilderness Medicine. Submissions should be limited to research presentations. Abstracts
may be submitted for oral or poster presentations using the specific format described
below. Abstract submissions must be postmarked or received in electronic form by
May 15, 2006. After review of abstract submissions, authors will be notified of abstract
acceptance for an oral or poster presentation. Please indicate on the coversheet if an
oral or poster presentation is preferred.
Oral abstract presentations will take place at the start of the morning plenary session on
Sunday July 23, Monday July 24, or Tuesday July 25, 2006. Oral presentations will be 10
minutes in length with 5 minutes for questions and discussion and must be prepared in
PowerPoint.
Posters should be no larger than 3-feet high by 6-feet long. Boards for presenting
posters will be available at the meeting and authors are encouraged to place their poster
for viewing during the entire meeting.
All accepted abstracts will be considered for publication in the WMS Journal,
Wilderness
& Environmental Medicine.
