Days 1-6: Kilimanjaro Ascent (optional -- not part of CME trip)
Kilimanjaro towers 19,340 ft. above sea level, making it the highest
mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the
world. The climb begins in tropical rain forest and then gradually
ascends through exotically beautiful equatorial sub-alpine and
alpine life zones.
The summit is a reasonable goal for any physically fit person. Experienced climbers, novice hikers,
trekkers, and backpackers usually enjoy this ascent. We'll use tent camps and huts en route. Porters
will carry the bulk of our gear allowing you to enjoy the vistas and friends.
Day 7-15: World-class Wildlife Viewing Safari -- Visit some of Africa's most famous game
parks/reserves including Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti. Medical Seminar
takes place on this portion of the trip.

Hiking the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu is a true classic that should be on every adventurer's "to do"
list. Exploring ancient paths and exquisite ruins in this spectacular setting will send shivers down
your spine. This haunting fortress city nestled below stunning peaks is perhaps the greatest mystery
of the Inca Empire.
The four-day trek on the Inca trail to reach this Pre-Colombian site is a pilgrimage through time.
Beautiful Andean scenery, as well as cultural history, unfold as we hike up and down steep stone
staircases past ancient Inca outposts.
Your Peruvian porters will carry all of your gear and even set up your tent for you so you can enjoy
this stunning trek. Your guide will explain the fascinating natural history along the trail, and the
expert cooking staff will prepare and serve delicious meals.
Historic Cusco is the undisputed architectural capital of Latin America, a charming, artistic city
nestled high in the Andes. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the shopping, restaurants, and sights
of Cusco. We'll also explore the nearby Sacred Valley, with it's beautiful Andean scenery and villages.
The Amazon Jungle is a wildlife treasure, and is not to be missed by nature lovers.
You'll fly from Cuzco to Puerto Maldonado, where a dugout motor canoe will transport you down-
river to the fantastic, Reserva Amazonica Lodge, where you'll stay 2 nights. Naturalists will take you
on walks and boat trips to explore some of the natural wonders of the area, including the Madre de
Dios River, Monkey Island, and Lake Sandoval.
Trip Cost: $2995 (Includes all transfers, all lodging, guiding, and most meals; does not include flights from
USA to and from Cuzco, Peru). Single supplement.
