·
{\Key{P}} to anchor a signature graphic to the current Paragraph in the text -- this type of
anchor allows it to float with the text between "Sincerely" and the signer's name lines. If
anchored to the closing (e.g. "Sincerely,"), the default Vertical and Horizontal positioning
should be fine. Set word Wrap \Key{W} off (to \Key{No} ) to allow the signature to
overprint text.

Graphics Quality
press \Key{G} to set the quality to \Key{H} High (otherwise, WordPerfect may attempt
to resize it).
1. Process
Complete.
2. Downloadable Graphic fonts
Downloadable graphic fonts are fonts in which the letter positions representportions of a picture, rather than
individual characters. Typically, an image is sectioned into 26 vertical slices and stored inthe upper-case letters
A through Z. To print the image, one simply selects the font for printing and types all 26 (referred to below as
"ABC..XYZ") into the document.
Advantages:
·
Fonts print faster than graphics -- the image is stored in the printer and printed on the page at "plain text"
speeds -- no commandparsing, scaling or other work needs to be done.
·
Fonts can provide the best reproduction of your graphic.
·
Printer fonts can be used by several applications.
Disadvantages:
·
Fonts must be "installed" into an application before use.
·
Separate fonts must be maintained for each printer type.

Information for all WordPerfect printers is stored in global files withan
.ALL
extension. These files contain
information about capabilitiesand features (such as supported fonts). Users cannot modify the
.ALL
file -- a
special utility "
PTR
" is used to add or edit printer definitions. When users select a new printer, they create local
"
.PRS
" files from the
.ALL
file.
The
.PRS
file contains settings which the user can modify.
When a newer (or modified) version of the
.ALL
file is made available, users can use the Printer Update feature
to move the new features from the
.ALL
file to their private
.PRS
files.
Installing downloadable fonts requires three steps:
1. Moving font files to the font library.
2. Backing-up and modifying the master printer
.ALL
file.
3. Updating
user
.PRS
printer files from the
.ALL
file.
Before you start: The examples assume you're using an HP LaserJet printer -- make the appropriate changes if
you're using a different printer (you may want to look at the HPLJ II sections of the
.ALL
file before modifying
your own printer specification).
