Five sound levels of achievement to Year
10: three of them must be English,
Mathematics, and a science subject.
2001 OP/Rank:
An OP is not required. Students apply
directly to the Faculty by November 30.

Students can start certificate studies after they have completed Year 10.
Certificate programs are an ideal way for those who learn by practical hands-on
experience to increase their confidence and employment prospects. Many
students find these courses a valuable learning experience and are motivated to
go on to further study.
Special program

The program has approximately 50 percent
theory and 50 percent practice.

Students gain practical experience through
20 days of vacation practical work.
q
All students obtain a Tractor Operator's
Certificate and Senior First Aid Certificate.
q
HECS fees do not apply.
q
In the second year of the program students
may undertake practical work at the Royal
Queensland Show in Brisbane.
q
Graduates will receive one year of credit
towards a Diploma in Applied Science
specialising in agronomy or horticulture.
