peak dL/dt, in a concentration-dependent manner (r >0.9, p <0.001), and with no relation to the
intracellular calcium transmission in myocytes. Flavonoids at low dosage can effectively treat
congestive heart failure.

Abstract:
The influence of TFH on myocardial ischemic reperfusion injury was studied by observing
pathological change of ultrastructure and level of SOD and MDA. Myocardial ischemia reperfusion
models were established in SD rats, we observed the protective effect of prophylactic use of TFH
(77mg. kg
-1
and 231mg.kg
-1
per once daily for 6 d). After 40 min ischemia and 30 min reperfusion TFH
could obviously improve the development of ultrastructural pathological change at myocardial
ischemic reperfusion areas and significantly increase the SOD activity and reduce the production of
MDA in rats. Pretreatment with TFH has obviously protective effects on myocardial ischemic
reperfusion injury in rats. The mechanism may be that TFH can increase the activity of clearance
enzyme of free radical and inhibit lipid peroxidation.

Abstract:
Seabuckthorn Xin Xue Kang Oral Liquid is composed of extracts from seabuckthorn, red
sage root (Salviae miltiorrhizae Bge) and licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.). In order to determine
the treatment-effect on ischemic heart disease (angina and myocardial infarction), the influence on
coronary blood flow and myocardial oxygen consumption in dogs was studied in this experiment.
Results showed that the Seabuckthorn Xin Xue Kang Oral Liquid could increase the coronary blood
flow and decrease the rate of myocardial oxygen consumption at dosages (crude medicine) of 0.46
g/kg, 1.2 g/kg, and 2.9 g/kg (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).

Abstract:
Seabuckthorn Xin Xue Kang Oral Liquid is a mixture of seabuckthorn (Hippophae
rharmnoides L.), red sage root (Salviae miltiorrhizae Bge) and licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.).
The study was to provide the scientific basis for its effects on promoting blood circulation and
removing blood stasis. The results show that, at dosages of 1.93, 4.84, 12.1 g/kg (crude medicine),
