Humidité
Can In-Wall waterfalls be placed back-to-back in same wall?
Yes, they can, but not a standard interior residential wall, which is 4-1/2" thick outside edge to outside edge. Minimum wall
thickness to accommodate back-to-back Humidité is 7 inches.
Can two or more In-Wall waterfalls be run from one reservoir component?
No. Each waterfall component will need a reservoir component.
Where do you locate the reservoir component?
The ideal location for a reservoir component is directly below the waterfall component. In homes or commercial locations with
basements, we recommend the reservoir be located in the basement on a shelf. If no basement or lower level is available, the
reservoir can be located in the room directly behind the waterfall or directly below waterfall on same side of wall with the
waterfall. In either application, a decorative box should be constructed to cover the reservoir component. The dimensions of
the reservoir are 18" high x 26" wide x 14" deep. The cover should be removable to allow access for maintenance of reservoir.
What kind of electrical and plumbing materials are required for a waterfall?
The following materials are needed to properly connect both models of Humidité waterfalls Cabinet or In-Wall.
Electrical Materials:
A dedicated power source with a GFI dual outlet receptacle rated at 120 VAC 15/20 Amperes (NEMA configuration 5-
15R). Locate GFI near reservoir component. A sufficient amount of 16 gauge dual low-voltage wire to connect
humidistat to reservoir.
Plumbing Materials:
The reservoir component will require the following plumbing materials:
A suitable drain source that can accept the 3/8" I.D.
black vinyl hose.
A chlorinated fresh, cold water supply source that will accept ¼" copper water line tubing.
Can these waterfalls be located above fireplaces?
Yes, as long as wall above fireplace is built out using standard 2" x 4" studs.
How much sound will the waterfall make?
A waterfall that is equipped with a smooth granite or marble panel will produce the most waterfall sound. This wonderful
calming and relaxing sound can be controlled by simply sliding the included stainless steel splash screen forward or backward
to go from loud to quiet.
Can a Humidité waterfall save energy costs?
Yes, as a matter of fact, a recent study conducted by the Long Beach Energy Department found that for every degree you
lower heating in the 60 to 70 degree range, you will save up to three percent on heating costs. Indoor air kept at an ideal
relative humidity level will feel warmer at a lower room temperature. A Humidité waterfall may allow you to lower your
thermostat 5 degrees, creating a monthly savings of $18.00 on a $120 per month bill.
