Since its introduction, the LT-F500F has devel-
oped a solid reputation for combining 500cc per-
formance with lightweight agility...something you'll
appreciate whether you're on a search and rescue
team or just looking for a good time.
One key to its outstanding performance is its liq-
uid-cooled powerplant. It produces impressive engine
torque, so you can take on heavy loads or challenging
trails with confidence. And thanks to its liquid-cooled
design, the QuadRunner LT-F500F is designed to
maintain optimum performance on the hottest days
and in the most demanding conditions.
With easily selectable two- or four-wheel-drive,
the QuadRunner LT-F500F is rolling proof that ver-
satility is a virtue. At the flip of a lever while
stopped, you can engage two-wheel drive for light
steering and maneuverability, or engage four-wheel
drive for tougher terrain. It transfers power to the front
wheels through an advanced torque-sensing, limited-
slip front differential, and to the rear wheels through
a locked rear axle. This setup offers maximum trac-
tion in all kinds of conditions, and helps provide light
steering even when you've engaged four-wheel drive.
For 2002, the LT-F500F features a new start-in-gear
system that lets you restart the engine in any gear
without shifting to neutral.
And you can count on the LT-F500F's responsive-
ness. It combines light weight, a low seat height and
a tight turning radius to help you tackle rough job
sites or rocky trails. Advanced suspension systems
front and rear -- four shock absorbers with coil-over
springs. And this year, the exclusive QuadLinkTM rear
suspension has refined damping for a more comfort-
able ride than ever.
The LT-F500F has a new tough, lightweight skid
plate and lightweight, rugged cast aluminum alloy
wheels that are as durable as they are stylish. And
the more you have to carry, the more you'll appreciate
the LT-F500F's towing and hauling capabilities.
The QuadRunner LT-F500F. A surprising combi-
nation of 500cc-class performance and lightweight
agility.
