It is not uncommon for newer bikini wax
clients to slightly bleed from the follicle, since
the hair is coarse and dense. Bleeding will
cease with continued waxing as the hair thins
and becomes more sparse. It is important
and necessary to wear protective gloves while
performing waxing services on the bikini
and underarm areas, since exposure to blood
is possible.
* Wear protective gloves if required by your area regulatory agency.
A checkmark next to a step indicates an ideal time to check on your client's
comfort, and to take extra safety precautions.
REPEAT
11.
Repeat procedure on new area. Work inward toward the panty
line in this manner, then wax along the panty line. Draw the
knee up slightly as work progresses. Ask the client to help
by holding the skin taut with her hand. Work around and
along the panty line toward the back. Switch leg positions
when the entire area is clean and repeat on the other side.
CLEAN and PROTECT SKIN
12.
Remove any excess wax with oil or other wax removal
preparation. Check the area and remove stray hairs
with tweezers. Apply soothing gel or medicated lotion
to the entire waxed area, then show client the results.
