Apply toner and blot to remove any debris from
the extraction.
Desincrustation solution is a highly alkaline solution that liquifies sebum (this liquification
process is called saponification). By liquifying the sebum, the application of desincrustation
solution to oily areas, clogged pores, blackheads and pimples helps aid in the extraction process.
A piece of cotton is used to apply the solution over the required areas. Steam or an infrared lamp
is then directed onto the skin for approximately 3-5 minutes. Your own desincrustation solution
can be prepared by mixing one teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate with one cup of distilled water.

Perform any necessary extractions on visible, clogged or
impacted pores. Extraction is necessary to free the skin
from bacterial buildup.
Finger Extraction Method: Put
on gloves and wrap fingers in tissue or cotton
soaked in alkaline/desincrustation solution. Gently
apply downward pressure on either side of the impaction
at the base, forcing debris through the opening in the skin.
Cotton Swab Extraction Method: Put on gloves and, using
two professional-size cotton swabs, gently apply pressure
to either side of the impaction. Press down under
impaction, forcing debris upward and out through
the opening in the skin. Use new swabs for
removing each impaction. The extraction process should
take no longer than 10 minutes to ensure client comfort.
EXTRACTION
11.
Apply desincrustation solution, if necessary, and
steam. Brush a small amount onto clogged areas of
face and allow to steam for 3-5 minutes. The
solution is not removed, as it dissipates into the
skin. Lancets and comedone extractors may be used
to aid in the extraction process in some states.
In general, each of the massage movements to follow
should be repeated three times before moving on to
the next movement.
