Apply the adhesive along the sewn edge
of the weft, then place the weft along the
part and apply gentle pressure. Make
sure that contact is made along the entire
length of the weft.
For this model, bonded additions are performed in the back and layered to blend with the rest of the
design in order to add length to her fine hair, while maintaining her professional image.
Bonding - Strand by Strand (Fusion Method)
This technique utilizes a bonding agent that is activated by a heating element to affix loose hair fiber
to small sections of the client's own hair. Since the hair is attached in such small increments, the
results can be very natural-looking and undetectable.
Small rectangular sections are taken
within rows and isolated with a plastic
disc. The additions are placed behind
the sections of hair. The heating element
(in this case `tongs') is applied until the
bonding agent has softened. Then the
fingers are used to roll the bonded area
until the natural and added hair have
bonded. It is essential that natural
growth patterns are carefully observed
and noted prior to the service. Going
against these patterns can result in dis-
comfort to your client and possible
damage to the hair and scalp.
