· Many manufacturers offer a variety of hairpieces
that do not fall into the more traditional cate-
gories. These include small clip-on pieces, pony-
tail wraps, artificial ponytails, and many other
designs worn for fun and fashion!
· An integration hairpiece has many openings in
the base that allow the client's hair to be pulled
through for blending purposes. Primarily used to
add length and volume to a hairstyle, the inte-
gration hairpiece is lightweight and adaptable to
many hairstyles.
Many fashion hairpieces are designed so that
attachment is as simple as possible. A variety of
clips, combs or interlocking combs is used to
allow for quick and easy changes.
· Other hairpieces can include elaborate hair
ornaments like those used in the HairWorld
Championships or International Hairstyling
Competitions. These hairpieces are often
custom-made by the contestants and incorpo-
rated into the overall design according to the
rules of the competition.

Toupees are hairpieces designed specifically to cover balding areas, especially for men. Many men
