Base Control--Indentation
With indentation the position of the tool and the size of the base
influence the amount of hollow space or flatness (closeness)
achieved. Tool position also influences the strength of the base and
the mobility of the curl. The indentation roller placement is most
widely used in creating a flip effect. However, the many assorted
needs of the indentation base position will become more evident as
you progress in creative hairstyling.
