Unlike typical awards programs, several EPA categories focus on processes and, therefore, must consider projects
that have been running for several years. Companies are encouraged to submit ongoing projects, but the
submissions must demonstrate significant development within the period of eligibility, December 1, 2005 to
November 30, 2006.
Under these conditions, last year's winning and non-winning submissions can be submitted.
Projects initiated in the period of eligibility will be considered in their current stage of implementation. Such new
projects will receive more favour if the submission includes clearly outlined goals and future plans.
Multi-facility companies are encouraged to submit projects on a specific facility basis when applicable. This holds
true for the Most Environmentally Progressive Printer in Canada category, where either the overall company or a
specific facility can be entered based on number of employees.
