FUNDING
Once we agree on the financing approach, the overall cost and timing of funds is evaluated
based on market conditions. The use of credit enhancement insurance from sources such as
MBIA, AMBAC, and FSA is evaluated, as is the decision whether to rate the issue by either
Standard & Poor's or Moody's. Term and serial maturities are weighed in the context of the
assets being funded and the maturities of the various financing instruments. A private
placement to one or more institutional investors is evaluated in view of prevailing retail
market conditions. Each of these factors is discussed with the owner and subjected to
considerations deemed important by the owner. Since ISES is affiliated with a registered
broker-dealer, we are capable of one-stop financial services. The goal is to provide the
owner with the most cost efficient funds for the term and the projects selected for renovation
and modernization.
