Work may be submitted by anyone, including design agencies,
advertising agencies, corporate marketing departments, clients,
and photographers. It is the responsibility of the sender to obtain
the appropriate permission from all concerned parties. The work
must have been created within the time period specified for each
b o o k .
When to Submit
Please submit your entry during the time period specified for
each contest. Deadline dates are the last delivery date to
Graphis NY, not postmark date. Entries can not be accepted
e a r l y. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be consid-

Graphis occasionally extends call for entries deadlines. For the

Tr a n s l a t i o n
All non-English print entries must include a translation of all impor-
tant copy to assist in judging the work.

Materials to Submit
A transpare n c y, slide or a digital file with printout of the
work pre p a red as follows:
Tr a n s p a rencies and Slides
· High-quality duplicate transparencies or slides (2 1/4" or 4"x 5 "
p re f e r red, 35mm acceptable) labeled with your name, company
name and telephone number.
· To show the correct orientation, mark the upper-right-hand cor-
ner of each image with an X. Graphis will not be responsible for
i n c o r rect positioning of any images received unmarked.
· Place all transparencies and slides in a top-loading plastic
sleeve. Do not send glass-mounted slides.
Digital Files
· P r i n t - re a d y, hi g h - resolution digital files (350 dpi, CMYK, TIFF or
EPS, approximately 9"x 1 2") with color printout attached. MAC
compatible CD-Roms (pre f e r red) or Zip Disks.
· Include an 8"x10" color printout of each image or an actual
copy of the print piece. Tape a copy of the entry label to the
back of each printout or printed piece.
· Label each CD-Rom or disk--the disk itself, not the case--with
s e n d e r 's name, company and contact information.
· Enclose a printed list of the disk's contents. Tape a copy of the
entry label securely to the disk or case.
Other Materials
· For printed advertisements, bro c h u res, posters and other
paper promotions include a tear sheet or sample printed piece,
in addition to transparencies/slides or disk.
· For packaging designs, product designs or other 3-D pro j e c t s
and any poster or printed piece larger than 30'' x 40'', submit
only slides or transparencies. Do not submit the actual piece.
· For websites or interactive pro j e c t s , submit design on MAC
compatible CD-Rom (preferred) or Zip Disk with high-quality
printouts of the six most significant aspects of the design.
