Integration of Archiving System with MBS Axapta
CASE STUDY
Integration scheme is based on modifying of existing X++ classes which generate reports in MBS Axapta. These
classes are copied and modified to send report information to archive. User can store report in Archiving System
simply using new menu item in MBS Axapta. User can perform full-text search as well as intelligent search on
the basis of specific report fields.
Installation package of integration solution of 2 parts: windows setup package (setup.exe) and MBS Axapta
import package (*.xpo). Because of integration architecture Axapta package never conflicts with existing user
classes and settings. All the possible MBS Axapta deployment model are supported: 3-tier thin client, 3-tier fat
client, 2-tier. Axapta Authentication and Authorization (A&A) plug-in implements security for archived reports.
A&A plug-in uses user information from MBS Axapta to authorize archive user.
Implementation and testing of integration solution was completed in Astrosoft development center. After pilot
deployment and trial usage of the solution in one of OpusCapita's customer the software was accepted and
presented to other OpusCapita's customers and prospects.
Result
Astrosoft have completed feasibility research and implemented integration solution which fully conforms to
OpusCapita customer's needs. Appearance of integration scheme with MBS Axapta allows OpusCapita to provide
better product for existing customers as well as attract new ones. OpusCapita was satisfied about the results of
the project and plans to continue cooperation with Astrosoft to develop integration solutions of OpusCapita's
products with other ERP-systems.
