Position: Commercial Real Estate Appraiser
At HVA, Inc., we are looking for the right individual to train as a commercial real estate appraiser
specializing in residential oriented properties. In addition, we plan to expand our client base by
adding on an estate and trust division that assists our clients with their appraisal needs. Convey
your experience appraising single-family residential properties into appraising subdivisions,
condominium developments, town-home projects, apartment complexes, low-income housing tax
credit projects, and vacant land. Do you qualify?
Compensation and Benefits: All employees of HVA, Inc. work in our very attractive,
ergonomic recently constructed office building centrally located in the Tampa Bay area. All
employees also have the opportunity to work from home. Our benefits package includes
compensation based on a competitive fee split with deductions for payroll taxes, Health
Insurance, optional Dental Insurance, a Simple IRA retirement account, educational allowance,
and reimbursement for MAI dues and state certification fees. HVA provides appraisers with a
computer and attractive work environment.
Do You Qualify: You must be a Certified Residential Appraiser in the State of Florida, have a
four-year college degree (preferably in business, or real estate), strong writing and
communication skills, outstanding computer skills with an emphasis on the Internet, Microsoft
Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with good organizational skills. Knowledge of map programs,
DataComp, CoStar Comps, MLS, Map Programs, Argus, and digital photos is necessary. You
also must have at least one year of experience appraising commercial real estate under the
supervision of a MAI appraiser.
