WMUK Now On-the-Air 24 Hours a Day
During our studio reconstruction, we experimented with all-night operation, running Bob Parlocha's show all the way
through to the start of Morning Edition. We had always wondered if there was anyone "out there" from 2 to 5 in the
morning. To our surprise, our e-mail and phones soon started buzzing with happy listeners saying, "This is great! Are
you going to keep it up?" So this Summer we've decided to officially debut our 24-hour schedule, complete with jazz
through the night. It's one of several enhancements to programming coming your way this Summer...

WMUK has been bringing classical music to southwest Michigan for over fifty years. The tradition continues with
music and local arts reports each weekday morning, then music from the WMUK library and NPR's Performance
Today each weekday afternoon. Saturday afternoons tune in for NPR's World of Opera. On Sundays we bring you
more of the best from our extensive library from noon to 2:00 pm, while From the Top and WMUK's In Concert!
round out the afternoon.

World Cafe comes to Fridays
WMUK changes the focus of Friday nights with the addition of World Cafe --
a showcase for contemporary music a step (or two) ahead of the mainstream. Host
David Dye keeps listeners informed about new projects by well-known artists, but
also introduces new musicians from the US and abroad. It's an
interesting mix of music ranging from reggae to American
folk, in-studio performances, and intelligent discussion.
World Cafe airs Friday nights from 8 to 10 pm.

Scene. Join Dave for some of the coolest and hottest jazz around Wednesdays
