Materials Development Group: Materials Engineer (MSE2)
PURPOSE:
Responsible for the design, fabrication and operation of gas-phase
CVD reactors for the synthesis of new nanomaterials.
The Materials Engineer will be responsible for development of new
reactor systems, including scale-up, and will be responsible for
development of new materials produced with these reactors.
In support of material development, the Materials Engineer will also
determine appropriate characterization methods for these materials,
conduct testing, and analyze results of this testing to determine
whether the synthetic objectives were met.
Expected to work closely with other members of the Materials
Development group to meet these objectives and to support the
Device Development group by developing new materials for
photovoltaic applications.
