The Jackson Radio Works, Inc. stations sponsored a paid internship with a Spring Arbor University
student in conjunction with a program developed by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters
Foundation.

Jackson Public Schools. After the day-long job fair and student interviews one student spent a full
week gaining work experience at the stations' studios in March 2005.
Jackson Radio Works also brought in a student from Vandercook Lake High School to intern. The
student sat in with "The Big Dog and Amy Morning Show", went to remote broadcasts, ect...The
student was eventually hired on a part time basis.
Jackson Radio Works, Inc. sponsored and Operations Manager Jamie McKibbin manned a booth at the
Michigan State University 2005 Communication Conference and Career Fair, March 2005. Over
1,500 students attended the fair, and several submitted their resumes and applications for future
openings.
Jackson Radio Works, Inc. owners Bruce and Sue Goldsen are members of the Michigan Association
of Broadcasters Foundation "Founders Club" and donated $2,000 in 2003-04. The money is used
towards scholarships administered through the Foundation. The scholarships are awarded to a
