Jackson Radio Works, Inc.
EEO Report Narrative June 2003-May 20, 2004

The Jackson Radio Works, Inc. stations hosted a job fair at the Holiday Inn in Jackson, Michigan in
September 2003. The job fair featured more than 30 area employers and attracted over 100 job-
seekers. Radio station personnel manned a booth during the job fair and solicited resumes from
prospective employees for future openings. The job fair was co-sponsored by three area employment
agencies, one of which specializes in female and minority applicants.

We also sponsored a paid intern from a Michigan university in conjunction with a program developed
by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation.

Jackson Radio Works, Inc. participated in a job fair and job shadowing program in partnership with
Jackson Public Schools. After the day-long job fair February 20, 2004 and student interviews on
March 19, 2004, one student spent a full week gaining work experience at the stations' studios from
April 19-23, 2004.

Jackson Radio Works, Inc. sponsored and Operations Manager Jamie McKibbin manned a booth at the
Michigan State University 2004 Communication Conference and Career Fair, February 20, 2004.
Over 1,000 students attended the fair, and several submitted their resumes and applications for future
openings.

Jackson Radio Works, Inc. owners Bruce and Sue Goldsen are members of the Michigan Association
of Broadcasters Foundation "Founders Club" and donated $2,000 in 2003-04. The money is used
towards scholarships administered through the Foundation. The scholarships are awarded to a
Michigan college or university student on a broadcasting career path.

Jackson Radio Works, Inc. is the major sponsor of "On the Air: The History of Michigan
Broadcasting," a traveling exhibit at Jackson's Ella Sharp Museum from April-June 2004. Several
thousand area residents, including many school groups, will tour the exhibit. The stations provide
these young people with a brochure detailing careers in the broadcasting industry.

These initiatives, coupled with those reported between March and May 20, 2003, reflect the outreach
by the licensee to encourage future broadcasters, as well as greater female and minority applicants for
job openings.
