Corporate Underwriting Opportunities
Specific Programs:
underwriting credits will air during the specific programs that you choose.
"ROS" (Run of Schedule) Programming:
Underwriting that airs from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. This is the most effective way to reach WDET'S entire
listening audience.
Late Night Programming:
Underwriting that is scheduled to air between midnight and 5 a.m. This is an extremely cost effective
way to begin underwriting or extend your underwriting reach.
Corporate Challenge Grants:
During a WDET pledge drive, corporations have the opportunity to challenge WDET listeners to
match their corporate contributions. This does three things: it gives a corporation a proven way to
get positive on-air visibility; it allows the corporation to show support for WDET; and it helps
motivate listeners to make their pledges and become contributing members. During the pledge drive,
on-air hosts will keep mentioning the challenge until it is fulfilled - this offers a large number of
on-air mentions of a corporation and becomes an attractive value-added expenditure. Listeners are
frequently reminded that WDET will not receive any of the challenged money without their
matching pledges.
Special Event Sponsorship:
Sponsorship of one of the high profile community events that WDET is involved with throughout the
year. These can include concerts, personality appearances and more.
